How to use the buy sell signals indicator for mt5?
As you can see on the above GPB/USD H1 chart, there are essentially two elements: larger squares and a series of smaller dots. The squares serve as trade triggers, with green indicating long opportunities and pink suggesting short opportunities. The dots simply follow the trend and also act as dynamic support and resistance levels.
Behind the scenes, this buy sell indicator uses readings from the moving average and average true range. One can change their values to obtain either sensitive or smooth signals.
We rate the provided signals as reliable and our recommendation is trading on lower timeframes like M5/M15 during major sessions (to have enough volatility).
Take a look at the EUR/AUD M15 chart. On the left side there are two mediocre signals, but afterwards there were two great buy sell opportunities. Each would have very favorable 1:3+ risk to reward ratio.
Indicator settings
In the indicator settings tab there are four customizable inputs. It’s a good idea to adjust these settings to match the characteristics of the chosen currency pair.
- MA Period – number of periods for the moving average calculation, affecting signal sensitivity
- Smoothing Method – method for calculating the moving average (e.g. simple, exponential etc.)
- Price – which price (close, open, high, low) is used in calculations
- ATR_Period – number of periods for calculating Average True Range to measure volatility
