Keltner Channel Color Indicator MT4
Platform: MT4 Type: Channel Last update: September 10, 2026The Keltner Channel Color Indicator for MT4 displays the channel as a series of colored vertical bars instead of plain lines.
The color alone tells you the trade direction, so you can read it quickly at a glance.

How to use the Keltner Channel Color Indicator for MT4?
The Keltner Channel Color Indicator shifts between two colors: green for bullish movement, orange for bearish movement.
A dark moving average line also runs through the channel, and it acts as your directional filter. So, only look for longs when price sits above it, and only for shorts when price sits below it.
For a buy trade, first wait for the channel to switch from orange to green while price holds above the dark MA. Then, enter long.
Next, place your stop loss a few pips below the most recent market low and take profit either when the channel flips color again or by using your own preferred exit method.

As you can see on the GBP/USD H4 chart above, this setup played out clearly. Price broke above the MA as the channel turned green, resulting in a solid entry.
From there, the stop loss sat below the recent low. The take profit came once the Keltner Channel began shifting color again near the top.

The second GBP/USD chart shows the reverse setup. Here, price broke below the MA as the channel turned orange, triggering the sell signal.
Similarly, the stop loss sat above the recent high, and the take profit followed as the channel began flipping color again during the later consolidation.
