How to use the MMA Indicator for MetaTrader 4?
When the market becomes volatile, the MMA adjusts automatically and reduces random price noise. In other words, trend signals are easier to see.
Focus mainly on the angle of the line and where the candlesticks are located relative to it.
In order to increase success rate, traders can use the MMA indiator in strategies based on support and resistence levels reactions.
Indicator settings
There are five customizable inputs in the settings tab:
- Length – how many periods are used to calculate the moving average value (default: 10).
- Damping – how strongly the indicator smooths price movements (default: 5).
- MaxGap – the largest gap allowed in the calculation (default: 30).
- Shift – impacts distance between moving average and candlesticks (default: 0).
- CountBars – how many historical bars the indicator will analyze (default: 300).
