How to use the Vortex Indicator for MetaTrader 5?
The indicator consists of two lines, namely V+ line is an blue bullish line and the V- line is a red bearish line.
Trading signals generated by the Vertex indicator are simple and intuitive. Once the green line crosses above red one, it suggests a long position opportunity and price reversal to the upside.
Conversely, when then red line rises above green one, it tells about a short trade opportunity and expected price reversal to the downside.
Real trade example
Take a look at this GBP/JPY H1 chart.
You can see how the price followed direction based on the intersections of vortex lines. On left side of the chart it raised significantly and then it dropped heavily.
Traders could potentially get two very profitable trades using provided signals.
Indicator settings
In the settings tab, there is only one customizable input: VI_Length. Esentially, it’s a period to calculate, in practice higher values translate into less signals generated.
