How to use the Vortex Smoothed Indicator for MT5?
Once the Vortex Smoothed indicator is activated in the MetaTrader 5 platform it appears in a separate window below the main chart. It consists of two main components:
- Two colorful oscillating lines
- A cloud area between the lines that shows the relationship between the two vortex movements
The size of the cloud indicates trend strength. A wider separation suggests a stronger trend. On the other hand, converging lines may signal weakening momentum and upcoming reversal.
When it comes to trading signals, the early opportunities occur after the confirmed change of vortex color. When it turns blue (both lines and shaded area) it means and bullish movement is expected. Conversely, bearish momentum is taking control when the vortex turns red.
